Career

Uroš Popović has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law in Serbia and in Montenegro. He has developed his expertise in competition law, data protection, intellectual property, telecommunications, media and technology, dispute resolution, energy and infrastructure, M&A, food and beverage and retail matters. Prior to joining the founding team of Bojović Drašković Popović & Partners, Uroš worked as a senior associate at a major commercial law firm in Belgrade where he primarily covered corporate and competition matters. He also worked as a senior associate at the associated law firm of PwC led by Marija Bojović.

Memberships

Uroš is a member of the Serbian Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the New York Bar Association. Uroš is an active member of the Telecommunications and IT Committee of the Foreign Investors Council and he continuously participates in drafting the relevant sections of the White Book. Uroš is one of the leaders of the regional legal network SELA (South East Legal Alliance), and he actively participated in forming this network back in 2016.

Education

Uroš earned a B.A in Political Science and Economics from Rutgers University in New Jersey and he went on to earn his Masters in International Relations from Boston University, where he also received his Juris Doctor degree. Uroš was admitted to the New York bar in 2006. Upon returning to Belgrade in 2007, Uroš earned his MA in Law from the University of Belgrade, from the Faculty of Law, and subsequently passed the Serbian bar exam. In 2016, Uroš was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in European Union Competition Law from King’s College, London.
