The firm

Chemarin & Limbour was created by two partners in 2014 and is an independent, specialised organisation dedicated to strategic litigation, thus enabling it to satisfy its clients’ demands. Lawyers at Chemarin & Limbour work closely with their clients so that they may fulfil their expectations. Chemarin & Limbour was founded by partners with extensive experience in business litigation gained from working in leading French and English-speaking business firms. By drawing on their understanding of the world of business and the corporate realm, they are able to offer real expertise in risk analysis and in the management of the pre-litigation (negotiation, mediation, transaction), litigation and post-litigation (enforcement) phases. Chemarin & Limbour acts for large accounts, especially those firms who operate in the telecommunications, energy, industrial, transport, construction, agri-food, banking, sports and tourism sectors.

Areas of practice

Commercial litigation: The team handles a broad range of strategic and complex business litigation cases, dealing in particular with the termination of business relations, accusations of unfair competition and the breach of sectorial regulations. Similarly, the team assists its clients in the management of pre-litigation phases and, in general, with negotiations that may result in any alternative conflict resolution. The team also provides assistance regarding different proceedings aimed at securing and/or enforcing court rulings.

Corporate criminal law: The team provides assistance to its clients, businesses and their senior management both during the pre-litigation phases of proceedings (Work Inspectorate investigations, DGCCRF and DDPP, DREAL etc) and during the prosecution phase in criminal court proceedings and proceedings involving independent administrative authorities (AMF, CNIL etc). The team regularly works on leading cases in the areas of criminal financial law, industrial accidents or public health due to its renowned experience in these sectors. In addition, it helps its clients in the daily management of the risk of incurring criminal penalties within the company (delegation of powers, internal procedures, professional training and anti-bribery compliance).
