Medical Negligence

Position

I’m a Partner and head the Medical Negligence team at the Cambridge office.

I’ve specialised in clinical negligence cases since qualifying as a solicitor and act on behalf of clients who’ve suffered serious injury. I recover substantial amounts of compensation for my clients to fund care, therapies and other needs.

I also represent families at inquests where their loved one has died through negligent medical treatment. This is often with the aim of getting answers and bringing about changes to improve patient safety. I act for both adults and children who have suffered brain injury, spinal injury such as cauda equina syndrome, or those who have suffered avoidable amputations.

I have substantial experience in handling birth injury cases, involving children who have cerebral palsy as a result of delays in delivery or inadequate neonatal care. I represent mothers who have suffered injury during delivery or where congenital conditions such as Down’s syndrome or spina bifida have been misdiagnosed during pregnancy.

I also act for numerous clients who have suffered major strokes following delays in treatment.

I contribute to learning in the field of stroke medicine through speaking on the subject of patient safety and learning from mistakes.
