Justina specialises in complex catastrophic injury cases, often involving challenging liability issues, and has extensive experience in dealing with cases leading to both severe and subtle brain injury, in particular arising from cycling accidents. She works with the Court of Protection pre and post-settlement as appropriate in respect of these claims. Justina also has a broad experience of handling cases involving spinal injury, amputation, complex orthopaedic injures and fatal accident claims.  

Justina is passionate about rehabilitation and seeks to put in place programmes to assist her clients as soon as practicable.

Justina is accredited as a Senior Litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. She hopes to secure Brain Injury Specialist Accreditation with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers in the next 6 months. She is, along with Ruth Booy, the Co-Founder of the Cambridge Medico-Legal Forum. She is also a keen advocate of diversity and inclusion and is a member of the Irwin Mitchell LGBT Steering Group, IM Equal.

Position

A Senior Associate, Serious Injury.  Justina specialises in acting for those who have suffered life changing injuries, such as traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, polytrauma and chronic pain arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, with a particular interest in cycling related accidents.

Career

Justina became a lawyer later in life having previously been an academic, a qualified librarian and an IT Manager. She wanted a role which challenged her intellectually but also allowed her to help people. Justina immediately found personal injury law combined all that she was interested and passionate about; law, medicine, psychology and people.
