Lucy joined Irwin Mitchell in July 2014 as a solicitor in the Court of Protection team and is based in our Manchester office. She qualified as a solicitor in March 2014 after completing her training contract in the Court of Protection department at Irwin Mitchell.

She acts on behalf of her clients who have been assessed as lacking the mental capacity to manage their own property and financial affairs. A key part of Lucy's role involves developing a relationship with her clients to discuss their needs and to ensure that their affairs are managed in their best interests. She will be involved in making applications in the first instance for the appointment of a professional or lay deputy, and thereafter in assisting with the delivery of Irwin Mitchell’s professional deputyship service.

Lucy is also experienced in preparing and executing Personal Injury Trusts and Professional Trusts for minors under the age of 18.
