Nana Akua is an associate and pro bono lead at N. Dowuona & Company. Her areas of focus are M&A transactions, energy and infrastructure projects, and healthcare. Her recent work with the firm includes advising: · a multinational insurance group on the sale of one of Ghana’s leading consolidated insurance businesses; · a leading social health enterprise on its market entry into Ghana through a joint venture arrangement in order to manufacture and sell medical diagnostic products; · a globally-oriented development company on the establishment of one of the first real estate investment trusts in Ghana; · an international mining services company on sectoral local content and participation requirements; and · a British investment platform on its potential debt investment into an early-stage agro-processing company.
