Career

Prior to founding Callol, Coca & Asociados, he was a partner with one of Spain's largest corporate law firms. Prior to that he led the specialist competition practice of a London ‘magic circle’ law firm in Spain after practising in London and Washington DC with Arnold & Porter.

Mr Callol manages a team with high competence in transactional, regulatory and litigation matters.  He regularly counsels on the regulatory angles of distribution and commercial agreements, as well as on unfair competition and antitrust issues.  He has substantial experience in dealing with corporates and investment funds in a wide range of transactions and the strategy related to merger control and foreign direct investment screening regulations.  He also regularly represents clients in respect of complex administrative and civil litigation and antitrust investigations before the national and EU authorities in a variety of sectors including in the pharmaceutical, consumer products, industrial, technology, media or publishing sectors.

Pedro Callol is a dual (Spain/England) qualified lawyer with more than twenty years of transactional, antitrust and specialist counselling/contentious experience. 

He is currently the President of the Spanish Fulbright Alumni Association, a member of the Advisory Board of the American Antitrust Institute in Washington, DC and member of the Board of the Spanish Association for Competition.

Education

Law Degree Complutense Madrid, Economics minor CEU San Pablo, LL.M from the University of Chicago Law School (Fulbright scholar) and a Master in European Law from the College of Europe, Bruges (Belgium) (sponsored by the Spanish Ministry of Foregin Affairs).
