Career
Wissam Hachem is a Partner and the Head of the Corporate, Commercial & M&A Practice at BLK Partners, based in Riyadh. He has 23 years of experience in the Middle East, of which 19 are in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He acts for a broad spectrum of individual and commercial clients in a wide range of complex disputes. He has been involved in multi-jurisdictional and high-profile litigation and arbitration matters.
Wissam has extensive experience advising clients on legal and Sharia issues in corporate and commercial litigation including but not limited to insurance cases, trademark infringement, employment and labour disputes, and banking and finance litigation. He also handles a wide variety of large Chinese construction companies in the disputes that may arise with their businesses.
In addition to his profound knowledge of dispute resolution, Wissam also possesses a solid background in handling various corporate transactions.
Wissam has contributed to several publications. For example, he has authored the Commercial Arbitration Annual Review 2019 – 2021 – 2022, and Litigation and ADR 2023 (covering Saudi Arabia).
