Rutger is one of the founders of BJTK. He heads our renewable energy & projects team and has a lot of experience in and understanding of the legal and commercial aspects of transactions, projects and agreements in the renewable energy sector.

Prior to founding BJTK in 2014, Rutger worked for Stibbe both in Amsterdam and in London.

Rutger is a member of the Dutch Bar Association (2005).

Rutger holds a masters in law from the University of Amsterdam (corporate law) and an LL.M. in European Private Law from the Università degli Studi di Siena (Siena, Italy) (cum laude). He also attended INSEAD’s MBA Highlights Programme (Fontainebleau, France).
