Career

Professor Nikolaos Katiforis has an extensive experience in Administrative, Arbitration Law and Litigation, having handled high-profile and complex cases before national courts of all degrees. Mr. Katiforis’ focus lies as well in the field of Public Procurement, in particular in advising clients and dealing with the entire process of public tender, from preparing an offer to handling any legal claim that might arise, before court. Finally, he handles significant projects which are related to compliance on miscellaneous regulatory issues, more specifically related to data privacy.

Mr. Katiforis is an Assistant Professor at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens since 30.12.2014 (Lecturer since 7.9.2009), in the field of Civil Procedural Law.  He has 30 years of experience as an attorney, mainly on civil law disputes, business disputes, and unfair competition matters. During his career he has been employed in the Legal Departments of Alpha Bank (Enforcement Proceedings Division, 1996-2000), Millennium Bank (Head of Legal Division, 2000-2002) and Eurobank Ergasias (Head of Retail Banking Division, 2003 -2016). He practices law before the Supreme Civil and Criminal Court of Greece (Areios Pagos) since 1995.  He speaks Greek, English and German.
