Bogdan Gecić to Serve as Board Member of Harvard Law School Association of Europe

Gecić Law is proud to announce the appointment of its founder and managing partner Bogdan Gecić to the Board of the Harvard Law School Association of Europe.

Bogdan will take on this important role to lead the communications activities of the prestigious organization.  Founded in 1965 in Paris, the HLSAE unites more than 2,300 European or Europe-based alumni and alumnae of Harvard Law School, fulfilling its objective to advance the legal profession and promote fellowship and cooperation among its members.

Commenting on his appointment, Bogdan said: “It is a true honor to join the Board of HLSAE and I am thrilled for the opportunity to serve the organization and its members. I am grateful to the leadership and members of the HLSAE that entrusted me with this position.  Through teamwork, our unique capabilities, and the ideas we bring to the table as Board members, I am confident we will significantly contribute to the organization and its objective of building relationships and strengthening vital connections among the alumni of our illustrious alma mater across Europe and beyond.”

A Harvard Law graduate with Honors and a recipient of the Dean’s Scholar Prize in “Leadership in Law Firms”, Bogdan has been an active member of the alumni community, having served as the first vice-president of the Harvard Club Serbia from 2013 to 2015.  Bogdan supported the establishment of the Harvard Club of Serbia Scholarship in the field of social sciences and humanities.  He was also instrumental to bringing HLSAE to Serbia in 2017, when the organization held its reunion in Belgrade, on the occasion of the bicentennial of the establishment of Harvard Law School.

Bogdan Gecić is a founding partner at Gecić Law in Belgrade. His practice focuses on European Law, Trade & Enlargement, Competition/State Aid, and Administrative & Regulatory. He is one of few practitioners from the Western Balkans to have represented clients before the European Commission in Brussels.  He publishes extensively on EU and Balkans competition law matters and is a guest lecturer at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law.  Bogdan is recognized as a Leading Individual by Legal 500 and is ranked by Chambers & Partners. He was distinguished as one of the nominees in the global 2013 Antitrust Writing Awards competition held in Washington, DC.
