Position

Katrin Hanschitz is a partner at KNOETZL and has been so since the firm’s establishment.  She is an experienced first-chair litigator with a strong background in M&A and finance transactions and ancillary disputes. She advocates for predominantly multi-national clients in all forms of shareholder and investment disputes, manager liability and disputed M&A transactions, as well as contentious insurance, financing, international trade (B2B, B2C, distribution) and international insolvency issues, with a particular focus on the social media, life sciences (product liability), banking, construction and energy industries.

Career

Before joining KNOETZL as a partner in 2016, Katrin practiced law in a senior capacity with a large, multinational law firm covering the CEE and SEE for eight years, both as a corporate and banking lawyer and then, in the last five years, as a litigator. She was admitted to the Austrian bar in 2001. Her career also encompasses experience as in-house/general counsel in the banking sector.
