Managing Associate

Victor is a Managing Associate and a lawyer qualified in New York and Romania, with 13 years of EU and Romanian competition law expertise, primarily in food, pharma, and consumer goods.

He has worked on high-profile antitrust investigations, including some of Romania’s most notable cartel and RPM cases. He regularly advises on antitrust issues, particularly vertical restraints, horizontal cooperation, and dominance.

Victor has advised international clients design and implement compliance frameworks, including training, policies, audits, mock raids, and e-learning. He also has extensive experience in contract drafting and in negotiating a wide range of matters.

During his Blue Book traineeship with DG COMP, Victor worked on EU antitrust investigations and complaints related to food and agriculture.

He has handled merger control at both the Romanian and EU levels across diverse sectors, including food, retail, and agricultural machinery. Notably, he worked on the clearance of the largest transaction in Romania’s sugar sector and the European Commission’s clearance of a joint venture involving two global players. He regularly advises on merger control and FDI implications in transaction structuring and planning.

With 13 years of experience assisting global companies in food, pharma, and consumer electronics, Victor offers a deep understanding of their business needs and strategies.

He also has expertise in regulatory, consumer, and privacy law and has been recognized as a Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyer (2024).
