Personal

Māra co-heads the EU and Competition practice group and has been involved in most of the firm’s M&A, Regulatory, Public Procurement, and EU and Competition transactions in Latvia. She has over 10 years of experience in providing legal services. Before joining TGS Baltic Māra gained extensive experience in the Latvian Public Procurement Office.

-together with Cederquist advised Kinnevik on the sale of Tele2 shares to Freya Investissement.

- Successfully represents Enefit in the public procurement dispute worth  EUR 12 million in Latvia.

-  Successfully represents the Public Utilities Commission in the case on third party access to gas infrastructure in Latvia. Legal due diligence of Latvijas Gāze in the interests of a bidder for E.ON Ruhrgas owned shares of Latvijas Gaze and assistance to the bidder in an auction type sale of the shares of Latvijas Gaze owned by E.ON Ruhrgas.

- assisted Enefit Green AS with selling Brocēni pellet mill and cogeneration plant in Latvia to Warmeston OU, the leading Estonian wood pellet producer.
