Career

Emre Durgun’s practice focuses on commercial litigation with particular emphasis on local and cross border patent disputes involving life sciences, automotive, machinery and technology. He has been advising clients in litigation, arbitration and mediation proceedings for around 20 years.

Emre is expert in case analysis, strategic planning, negotiations and handling matters from inception through post trial. His practice comprises legal disputes in the areas of intellectual property law, corporate law, public tenders, supply contracts, construction projects, distribution contracts and debt collection. He has been regularly recognised as a leading intellectual property expert by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.

Prior to joining Nazalı Avukatlık Ortaklığı, Emre has worked as a partner in leading local and international law firms in İstanbul.

Emre is a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Law and holds an LL.M. degree in International Trade Law from the University of Southampton. He is a lecturer on “Pharmaceutical Patent Law” and speaker on “Construction of Patents” and “Discovery of Evidence in Turkish Law”.
