Elias Neocleous & Co LLC holds the opinion that corporate social responsibility, including ESG and sustainability policies, is the key to social, economic, and corporate prosperity. As part of the Cyprus community, we believe that, if our policies can help the community thrive, then so too will the firm. We have an established sustainability framework, which states our respect for our people and clients, the communities we work in, and the natural environment. We actively seek to make a positive contribution to the world around us by focusing on the way we work and live. The firm expects and requires that all our staff promote and adhere to these values. The importance that we attach to our role within the community is reflected in the fact that each year as part of their training programme our trainee lawyers are required to devise and implement a programme of CSR activities involving the entire firm.

The firm regularly takes initiatives with a significant social footprint. Some of these are summarized below.

    • The firm has established cash prizes in the schools of Limassol, to inspire and reward students who exhibit excellent academic achievement and excellent ethical behaviour.
    • The organization of regular blood donation sessions. The continuation of this programme has been extremely important during the Covid 19 pandemic when many regular donors have been unable to donate.
    • The organisation of recruitment drives to recruit volunteers for the Cyprus bone marrow donor registry.
    • Regular campaigns to raise funds for and awareness of male and female health concerns.
    • The sponsorship and promotion of numerous high-profile business and technology summits and conferences, recent example of which include:
      • The Legal 500 GC Summit Cyprus event.
      • Annual sponsorship and co-organization of the Reflect Festival. This is the largest ‘future – casting’ festival in Southern Europe and the Middle East and embraces all sectors of the international and local community.
      • Annual sponsorship of and participation in the Limassol Economic Forum.  The Forum is the most important annual business conference in Cyprus and promotes the country’s credibility as an international business centre.
