Dr. Thiemo Schäfer specializes in litigation. He advises and supports clients in protecting their interests before German civil courts. Thiemo’s professional focus lies in the area of commercial litigation. In addition, Thiemo has extensive experience in litigation in connection with insolvency law matters.

Prior to joining Andersen, Thiemo worked for several years for Luther in Cologne and McDermott Will & Emery in Düsseldorf. During his legal clerkship he gained international experience by working for a major international law firm in London and the German Consulate General in New York. Thiemo holds a master's degree in business law (LL.M.), has successfully completed the training course to become a specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law and is the author of numerous publications on insolvency law.
