York Zöllkau advises national and international companies and their owners on the tax-economic design and implementation of their business and investment decisions. He also has extensive consulting experience in connection with the digital transformation of tax departments and tax practices in Germany and abroad.

York Zöllkau studied business administration at the University of Cologne. He began his professional career in 1986 at Arthur Andersen, where he joined the partnership in 1994. Following the dissolution of the global Andersen organization in 2002, York Zöllkau joined Ernst & Young GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (EY) as part of the merger of Arthur Andersen Germany with Ernst & Young. After holding various management positions at the regional level, he became a member of the German management team and was responsible for the Tax Service Line for Germany, Austria and Switzerland from 2010 to 2013. From 2013, York Zöllkau moved to EY's EMEIA Tax Leadership and, as a member of the EMEIA Executive, served as EMEIA Tax Leader from 2015 to 2018.

After leaving Ernst & Young in 2018, York Zöllkau works as an auditor and tax advisor in his own practice.
