Career

During his military service, Adv. Blecher served in the Military Advocate General Unit. Initially, he served as an assistant to the legal Advisor in the Gaza Strip Region; subsequently, as a senior consultation officer in the International Legal Branch; and finally, as a military defense attorney. Today, Major (reserve) Blecher is part of the reserve force of the Military Legal Defense Unit.           

Upon discharge from the army, Adv. Blecher joined M. Seligman & Co. Law Firm. Later he became a partner in the office, after which he became a partner in Goldfarb, Seligman & Co. Law Firm, for 16 years.

Position

Adv. Roy Blecher, specializes in civil-commercial, administrative, criminal and disciplinary litigation, and is considered to be one of the most prominent attorneys in Israel in these fields.

Among others, Adv Blecher:- Specializes in representing in complex and large scope cases, and personally oversees and supervises his cases in every stage of representation, supported by the experienced legal team in the firm.- Has developed expertise in representing high profile public and media clients, whose treatment requires a comprehensive understanding of the legal, public and media arenas.- Holds a high security clearance, enabling him to attend to classified security cases. Among others, he represented Ben Zygier ("Prisoner X") and Colonel (reserve) Elhanan Tannenbaum- Advises companies in designing internal compliance programs and policies for prevention of bribery of foreign public officials, and regularly advises companies that deal with similar issues.

In addition, Adv. Blecher accompanies witnesses and suspects in investigative procedures that involve foreign authorities.
