Dr. Cahit Suluk (Attorney At Law / Trademark and Patent Attorney) is the founder of Suluk IP Law Firm and is a highly-regarded IP litigator. Dr. Suluk graduated from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul University in 1992. He obtained his PhD in 2000. He has been active an attorney at law at Istanbul Bar since 2001. He conducted research on his habilitation thesis “Pharmaceutical Patent Infringement” for 4 months at Max Planck Institute in Munich.

He is not only a distinguished and reputable IP litigator and strategist but also a highly-respected academician and lecturer. He has published 12 books and more than 40 articles and also he has issued 9 communiqué so far on IP Law. Dr. Suluk also served as a visiting lecturer at several Universities. He has been still assistant professor in Istanbul Zaim Universirty. He has devoted a considerable amount of his time on IP related academic research studies and publications that are followed by a large audience, which includes judges, lawyers and academicians who are interested in IP matters.  He contributes to drafting of IP laws (such as Turkey’s first Industrial Property Law is entered into force on January 10, 2017.

He has been a key member of the team introducing books and articles into Turkish IP Law community that are used as reference at universities as well as domestic and foreign publications. His publications are cross-referred in first instances and Supreme Court decisions and benefitted frequently by the IP experts.

He also provides training sessions in related to various aspects of IP to domestic and foreign clients and provides an expert advice on IP and unfair competition cases.
