Stéphanie Berland is a French qualified lawyer with 20 years’ experience in intellectual property and technology law, data protection, media and communication law, both in counselling and litigation.
Stéphanie has also an extensive experience in dispute resolution and represent her clients before all jurisdictions (civil, commercial, criminal and administrative courts).
She has worked as legal director in prominent French media groups (NRJ and Canal +) after fourteen years at French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel. It gives her the opportunity to have a better understanding of her clients’ needs.
Partner in charge of the IP / IT / Data practice at Steering Legal, Stéphanie advises French and foreign clients, large groups and medium-sized companies, listed or not, as well as small companies, start-ups and individuals (managers, inventors, creators), from many sectors (transport, healthcare, energy, Internet, media, entertainment, industry, distribution, agriculture…). She acts as external DPO.
Thanks to her experience as legal director, Stéphanie favors a pragmatic and business-oriented approach in the advice given to her clients.
