Patrick joined Lewis Silkin in September 2014 as an Associate and has gained experience in a variety of commercial property matters, including property finance, landlord and tenant work, property management, development and sales and acquisitions.

Part of Patrick's role is to provide corporate support on wider business acquisitions and disposals where property can be either a peripheral, but important, or a fundamental and central, part of the deal. He also has experience in the restaurant and retail sector, advising companies on opening new restaurants or stones in different parts of the country and dealing with the unique elements that go with such a transaction.

Real Estate Patrick advises on a range of property transactions, with a focus on commercial real estate, though he works with housing associations/registered providers also. This includes drafting, negotiating and reviewing transactional documentation such as leases, licences, agreements and contracts for sale.

Patrick's clients include large corporate investors, pension funds, property companies and developers alongside corporate occupiers, high net worth individuals and retailers. A number of his clients include media and advertising agencies, both institutional and start-ups. Patrick aims to give his clients practical and straightforward advice on how best to achieve their objectives and make sure that the deal works for them. Different clients have different needs when it comes to legal advice and Patrick tailors the way he works to suit them.

He advises on a range of commercial property transactions such as the drafting and negotiation of agreements, leases, licences and other property documentation. Patrick acts for both landlords and tenants, assisting them on all their property management needs.

He has acted for clients in both sales and purchases including undertaking due diligence on the assets involved in the transaction. Clients have included property companies, pensions and investment funds as well as high net worth individuals and corporate occupiers as well as government agencies and financiers and football clubs.

Patrick enjoys working for a diverse group of clients and making sure that their requirements are met.

Advertising & Marketing Patrick advises on a variety of commercial property transactions with a focus on the media and advertising and technology sectors. This work includes property management and negotiating contracts for sale and purchase and the accompanying due diligence and all other ancillary documentation. A number of the advertising agencies Patrick has worked with are start-ups, with little or no corporate background and so they require a very different service to well-established agencies seeking to expand their office space. He has acted for a number of different types of client and undertaken a range of different transactions each of which have different requirements and complexities which need to be addressed.
