Position
Partner: Michael advises companies, LLPs, and senior executives on all aspects of employment and partnership law.
The bulk of Michael's work is focused on the financial and professional services sectors. He supports his clients on all issues arising in the workplace. This can range from negotiating complex contracts to defending high-value claims in the Employment Tribunal.
Michael is particularly interested in High Court litigation and arbitrations. He frequently advises on restrictive covenants, confidential information, bonus claims, and team moves, often with elements spanning several jurisdictions. Michael has worked on a number of the team’s biggest cases over the years. This has included successfully defending a Hedge Fund against a claim worth in excess of $200 million and securing a multi-million-pound settlement for a whistleblower at the doors of the Tribunal.
Financial Services
Michael acts for a number of financial services clients including Hedge Funds, banks, brokers, insurance intermediaries, and HFT firms. His work covers the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment and partnership advice.
