Career

Kathy joined the Forde Campbell litigation team in February 2017 having previously garnered considerable experience in the field of media law, consistently focussing her practice on claims that relate principally to defamation, privacy and harassment. She qualified and practised at a niche media, London law firm before returning to her native Northern Ireland in 2007 and carried on working in these specialist fields at a highly regarded, multi-jurisdictional law firm and developed her expertise in reputation management in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Kathy has acted for both private clients and corporations, many of whom are household names, and has worked on a significant number of privacy and anti-harassment applications and successfully assisted her clients in bringing about the desired outcome using injunctive relief.

Kathy has additionally expanded her practice to include advising in art-related disputes and offers clients a unique insight and expertise in this area of law.

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor Kathy spent a year in Barcelona working as a legal assistant for the senior partner of an international law firm.
