Position
Head of Housing and Residential Litigation, specialising in residential property litigation, including acting on behalf of many of the UKs Registered Providers of Social Housing dealing with all housing management issues, both contentious and non-contentious, including anti-social behaviour, nuisance, disrepair, non occupation and sub-let (tenancy fraud), rent arrears and debt recovery, breach of tenancy and trespass. Protestor and trespass actions dealing with a number of high profile matters that received substantial press coverage including the eviction of around 100 trespassers from two residential properties in Park Lane London, acting for Harrods and Harvey Nichols in their claims against protestors, and the eviction of a large number of travellers from development sites. These practice areas include on a regular basis advising and assisting on Human Rights, Equality Act and Data Protection issues. Residential property litigation includes acting for a number private landlords on all housing management related issues, including in the Property Tribunal on service charge disputes, lease extension, enfranchisement claims and right to manage claims.
