Career
Kerstin Neighbour is the global head of the highly-ranked Hogan Lovells Employment practice, which has more than 100 dedicated employment lawyers across EMEA, the United States, Latin America and Asia.
Based in Frankfurt, Kerstin is a highly respected senior employment lawyer with extensive experience in transactional employment law advice and restructuring projects. As German employment law is rarely black or white, and is typically nuanced and open to interpretation, you need practitioners like Kerstin in your corner that will provide you with sound advice and offer workable solutions. No sitting on the fence, but clear answers to your questions.
Kerstin is known for her solution-oriented advice and her instinct and tact when negotiating balances of interests and social plans with works councils and their advisors. Among other things, this is why Kerstin’s international and domestic clients have placed their appreciation of her work on record by praising her “pragmatic and sensible advice” (Legal 500 EMEA).
Kerstin is co-editor of and contributor to the German standard reference on employment law Beck’sches Formularbuch Arbeitsrecht (publisher C.H. Beck, currently available in its 3rd edition) as well as co-author of the legal handbooks “M&A Agreements in Germany” (publisher C.H. Beck, currently available in its 2nd edition) and “Rechtshandbuch Industrie 4.0 und Internet of Things” (publisher C.H. Beck, currently available in its 2nd edition).
Kerstin read law in Münster and worked as a scientific assistant in the Employment Law Faculty of Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. Her doctorate thesis deals with specific legal aspects of employee leasing.
