For nearly two decades, Allen Pegg has concentrated in complex litigation, arbitration, and appellate work, and he now leads the Miami office’s robust litigation team.

Allen’s clients rely on his judgment and broad range of experience to help them resolve their most difficult matters. Whether involving disputes arising from health care or financial services, business torts, class action defense, or corporate governance issues, clients turn to Allen as a trusted advisor. Among his areas of focus, Allen regularly represents some of the nation’s largest health insurers in suits challenging out-of-network payments, claims processing, other payment practices, ERISA, fraud, and various manners of alleged contract claims. Allen also regularly represents large financial institutions, primarily in defense of putative consumer class actions alleging a variety of statutory and common-law claims.

Regardless of the forum, Allen approaches each case with a unique perspective on how best to tailor his strategy to accomplish his client’s particular goals. He has first-chaired numerous trials and arbitral hearings, and has briefed and argued dozens of appeals in state and federal courts.

Allen is also continuously giving back to the community. He regularly handles an array of pro bono matters, and for more than a dozen years, he was a member of the federal appellate list for Criminal Justice Act appointments.
