Laurent Gouiffès is a partner at Hogan Lovells and leads the International Arbitration team in Paris. According to Legal 500 EMEA 2018, Laurent "provides strong expertise in high-profile arbitration and mediation mandates."

With a key focus on energy-related, technological, and investment disputes, Laurent regularly acts on behalf of clients in the oil and gas, mining, electricity, nuclear, aerospace, and telecommunications industries, as well as on behalf of states. He has over 20 years' experience acting in high-profile, complex international arbitrations and mediations and has vast experience of arbitration under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, London Court of International Arbitration, International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law. He has also acted in a number of disputes brought under the Energy Charter Treaty.
Laurent regularly speaks and publishes on topical issues in arbitration, energy, and public/private international law, including giving lectures on energy arbitration at London School of Economics and Sciences Po in Paris.
