Career
Whiston Bristow is a partner in London focusing on litigation, investigations, and contentious regulatory work. His clients span a range of industry sectors but he specialises in the financial services sector, advising domestic and international banks, multilaterals, asset managers and others. Whiston’s work often covers cross-border issues, and includes disputes or investigations covering a wide range of products and subject matters, including debt facilities, derivatives, benchmarks, foreign exchange markets, mis-selling, fraud and asset tracing, aviation and trade finance, and anti-money laundering and sanctions.
Whiston also advises internal and external clients on commercial disputes and litigation, in particular in the aviation sector; and Whiston’s other area of considerable experience – and interest – is Africa and Africa-related disputes or investigations. He is an active member of the firm's cross practice Africa group.
