Alexandre CORNET joined CORNET VINCENT SEGUREL in November 2004. A partner since January 2012, he works specifically in the following areas:

Restructuring and insolvency proceedings: Alexandre CORNET has developed a high degree of expertise in providing preventive support with respect to company problems by negotiating, as a receiver (“mandat ad hoc”) or through conciliation, with bank creditors or suppliers, and public/government creditors.

He also is involved with, or provides support for, companies in connection with commencing and following safeguard/protection/reorganization proceedings (“procédures de sauvegarde”), court-supervised reorganizations (“redressement”) and liquidations and has developed specific expertise  on sales of distressed companies (sale of control , court-ordered or supervised sale, prepack). He provides assistance in connection with related legal proceedings (claims, continuation of contracts, challenges to creditor claims, extensions, penalties, etc.).

Litigation in the area of Commercial and Business Law: Alexandre CORNET works regularly in company law litigation (disputes and litigation between and among shareholders, removal of members of management), in litigation involving Retailers and Resellers or Competition (disputes and litigation involving commercial agreements, unfair competition), in Banking disputes and litigation (bank liability, credit instruments), or disputes and litigation involving Guarantees.

With his Anglophone background, he also handles litigation involving International Commerce.

His clients are companies, but also investment funds and banks.

Alexandre CORNET is a member of the Institut Français des Praticiens des Procédures Collectives [French Institution of Practitioners for Insolvency proceedings].  He works in both French and English.

Holder of a Masters in Private Law, and of a Diploma of Legal Studies and of a Diploma of Legal Practice delivered by the College of Law of London, Alexandre CORNET completed his education by obtaining a university degree in the law of Distressed Companies for the University of PARIS I.
