Career

Alban Pousset-Bougère, sworn in to the Bar in 1994, was the winner of the Conference of Pupil Advocates in 1999 and a member of the Lyon Bar Council from 2004 to 2006 and from 2011 to 2013. He is the delegate of the President of the Lyon Bar to the Court of Appeal and in charge of the RPVA e-Bar network.

Holder of a DEA post-graduate degree in business obtained in 1993 from Jean Moulin-Lyon III University and of a specialisation in appeal procedures (2008), Alban Pousset-Bougère has been defending private and public sector businesses and insurance companies for over 20 years.

After a period spent with for court solicitors Junillon & Wicky, he joined the firm of Dana & Associés in 2010.

In his new role, he added insurance law, and industrial risk in particular, to his existing skills in business and company law litigation, criminal business law and property law, on behalf of both insurance companies and SMEs/midcaps.

Surrounded by attorneys experienced in these matters, and accustomed to acting in judicial assessments and before jurisdictions, he endeavors to acquire a clear understanding of the activity and problems of his clients and/or their policyholders, so as to devise and organise the optimum strategy to deploy in defending their interests.

He assists and represents companies and their officers before the courts in the various litigations they may encounter, whether in their relations with clients, between partners or in the context of liability warranties, but also in the event of distressed companies.  

He also advises insurance intermediaries and their clients.

Alban Pousset-Bougère lectures on insurance litigation at the Lyon Institut des Assurances and at Jean Moulin-Lyon III University and regularly gives training courses for those active in the insurance world, in particularly judicial experts at the Lyon Court of Appeal.

The knowledge gained from his experience with SCP Junillon & Wicky earned him a specialisation in appeals procedure.
