Angus Easton

Angus is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Commercial Department and is qualified both as a solicitor and as a chartered secretary (chartered governance professional). He has a transactional and advisory workload focused on providing services to the commercial shipping and fishing industries, in particular in relation to the sale and purchase of vessels (new build and second-hand); vessel finance and security matters; fishing licence and quota work; and charter parties. In addition, Angus deals with joint ventures and business acquisitions and disposals, and also provides advice upon, amongst other things, corporate compliance, contractual obligations, and commercial disputes.

Having for many years focused on shipping and fishing related legal work, Graham has become the trusted advisor of a number of well-established ports and ship owners and operators of international standing. He has been involved in major fleet sale and purchase transactions, ship construction contracts, charter work, and in financing deals for owners and banks. He also handles a variety of marine related business law work from his base at Carden Place. Qualified in Scots and English law.

Keith MacRae

Keith specialises in marine and shipping law, with particular experience in shipboard and offshore personal injury claims, shipping casualties generally and fishing vessel total loss and casualty claims. He has particular expertise in immediate on-site accident investigation, and is Scotland’s most experienced shipboard accident investigator. He is also a qualified mediator. Keith has been instructed for insurers and owners following most of the significant fishing vessel casualties in Scotland over the past 25 years and has represented clients at fatal accident and maritime inquiries in Scotland and abroad.

Kirstin is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Commercial Department. Kirstin’s varied workload includes aspects of marine and offshore work including fisheries, shipping and renewable energy as well as advising on general company law matters

Patricia Gray

Pat is the lead partner in Mackinnons’ award winning private client and residential property team. Although specialising in property work she also provides advice on all general aspects of private client work. Pat’s ability to combine a hard working approach to her high volume workload without sacrificing client care sets her apart from other contemporaries in her field. Pat manages a varied caseload of often complex transactions for high-net-worth individuals. A highly experienced and respected lawyer, as well as acting regularly for families and private individuals known to Mackinnons for years across the North East of Scotland, Pat also represents clients who have interests across Scotland and other parts of the UK. She was a post graduate tutor in conveyancing at Aberdeen University for many years and was also a reporter to the Law Society of Scotland on professional service and misconduct complaints. She is now a member of the Law Society Professional Conduct Committee.

Rachael Bain
