Tobias advises and supports businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to major corporations, in prosecuting and enforcing IP rights in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Application, opposition and appeal proceedings at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office form a substantial part of his workload. He also provides expert opinions on freedom-to-operate, validity and infringement issues. In addition to his work as a patent attorney, Tobias regularly holds lectures for entrepreneurs and students. Tobias is furthermore member of the Maiwald UPC taskforce and responsible for UPC related topics at Maiwald. Because of his strong background in mechanical engineering in combination with his keen interest in technologies of all kind, he primarily advises companies in the areas of automotive technology, machine building and plant engineering. For over 10 years he has been active in the fields of digitalisation and Industry 4.0.
