Career

With over 20 years of experience, André is founding partner of CGM and is responsible for the competition, administrative law, compliance and regulatory practices. He represents numerous Brazilian and foreign companies before various governmental bodies and agencies in relation to virtually all matters covering competition and public law. He has been involved in many of the most relevant antitrust investigations conducted by local authorities since 2003, with significant experience in representing companies investigated for cartel practices. In administrative law, he advises clients before the Federal, State and Municipal Audit Courts in various bidding processes and in investigations opened by Public Prosecutors' Offices and the Office of the Comptroller General on issues of administrative misconduct and anti-corruption legislation. Since 2010, he has overseen several cases involving internal investigations related to compliance and corporate ethics.

André is a member of the International Bar Association´s Law Firm Management Committee.

He is the author of the book "O Processo Antitruste Sancionador: Teoria e Prática da Investigação das Infrações à Concorrência", with the 2nd edition published in 2017. He is the organizer and co-author of the book "Concentration of Companies in Brazilian Antitrust Law", published in 2012.
