Lawyer with more than 12 years of professional practice in business consultancy specialising in labour and procedural law, with practice in both the private and public sectors.

In the private sector, he has been a member of various legal teams specialized in labor and procedural matters. His professional services have contributed with specialized knowledge in corporate labor structuring, social security, individual and collective labor contracting, and collective conflict management, advising companies in multiple sectors such as floriculture, automotive, tourism, oil and construction.

Additionally, he has experience in constitutional and administrative law, management of civil and commercial contracts and in public and private international law. In the area of litigation, litigation and dispute resolution, he contributes with his detailed knowledge of judicial processes in labor matters and alternative means for dispute resolution, which has allowed him to participate and carry out internal corporate negotiations and with public authorities in processes with more than 1,500 workers within investment projects of national interest.

In the public sector since 2011 he has served both in the Prosecutor's Office in the capital, and in the Ministry of Labor, an institution he represented as an arbitrator in different conciliation and arbitration courts in collective disputes; and in which he became Regional Director of Labor and Public Service of Quito in 2020. In this position, he led the resolution of more than 36,000 labor complaints as a result of the crisis that the country experienced as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Diego, thanks to his knowledge and experience in the public sector and his practice focused on labor matters, provides qualified advice on sensitive issues of business relevance such as employer retirement, lists of demands, payments of utilities and other labor benefits. For all these reasons, it is a key player that strengthens the labor and procedural structure of DLL.
