Career

Bruno Sartori has advised banks, industries and multinational enterprises in due diligence processes, corporate and commercial taxation, as well as in M&A transactions. He has advised clients in strategic tax and litigation proceedings in both the administrative and judicial spheres).

Bruno headed the Compliance and Commercial Taxation department at one of General Electric’s companies in Brazil and focused on transactions involving commercial taxation, stock option plans and taxation of software and new technologies in Brazil and abroad. Prior to joining Souza Mello e Torres, Bruno gathered experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), General Electric, at GE Transportation) and Azevedo Sette Advogados.

Education

Milton Campos Law School, Minas Gerais (LL.B.), Post-Graduation in Tax Law and Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) in Corporate Tax Law. Bruno was an assistant professor in the Tax Law Department at Milton Campos Law School. He completed courses at the New York University Law School (NYU, USA), at IBMEC (Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets), FIPECAFI (Financial, Accounting and Actuarial Research Foundation) and FGV (Getúlio Vargas Foundation).

Bruno is a former fellow at the National Council of Technological and Scientific Development (CNPq) and at the Foundation for Supporting Research in the state of Minas Gerais (FAPEMIG) in tax law.
