Career

Sarah was called to the Bar in 1999 and has practised successfully as a barrister for almost 25 years.  She has considerable court experience at all levels, as well as experience of litigation and managing large and complex cases and leading teams.  In 2010, Sarah was appointed to the Attorney-General’s Civil Panel of Counsel. She is frequently requested by the Government Legal Department (formerly the Treasury Solicitors’ Department) in relation to immigration matters and has undertaken cases, advising and representing various Government Departments, including the Home Office, in Appeals and Judicial Review proceedings in the Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Sarah is one of the founding partners of Richmond Chambers and is a key member of the Management Team.  She holds the posts of Compliance Officer for Legal Practice, Compliance Officer for Financial Administration and Money Laundering Officer.

Sarah is one of our accredited pupil supervisors and takes an active role in the training and development of the immigration team at Richmond Chambers.
