José Luis Zapata is the Partner in charge of the Labour Law and Employment Area at O´Farrell. He has been a Partner since 2005 and he has led the area since then.

He regularly advises clients on multifaceted labour issues, particularly with respect to the automotive, oil and gas industry, electricity, textile, retail, construction, litigation area, negotiation and management of collective bargain agreements.

José Luis Zapata is a lawyer of the Argentine Chamber of Oil.

Mr Zapata is a professor at IDEA as well as at the ESEADE.

Technical delegate member of the Social Policies Department of the Argentine Industrial Union (Unión Industrial Argentina – UIA) and representative of the employers sector at the International Labor Organization (ILO) Attorney-at-law of the Chamber of Oil Industry (Cámara de la Industria del Petróleo, CIP), participating in all collective bargaining proceedings within the oil industry. Attorney-at-law of the Argentine Chamber of Casual Food Restaurants (Cámara Argentina de Establecimientos de Comida Casual, CAECC) Attorney-at-law of the Argentine Chamber of Renewable Energies (Cámara Argentina de Energías Renovables, CADER). Member of the Argentine Association of Labor Law (Asociación Argentina de Derecho del Trabajo)

 

Member of the City of Buenos Aires Bar Association Member of the International Bar Association (IBA). He has an active role in various chambers of commerce, such as the Spanish, American, and Dutch Chambers of Commerce

He has a law degree from the Argentine Catholic University School of Law.

Mr Zapata completed postgraduate courses and attended several seminars at the UBA, Universidad Austral, UCA, IDEA, etc. He also graduated from the Academy for American and International Law in Dallas, Texas, US.
