Björn has more than 15 years of experience as a lawyer with a background in dispute resolution. Today his practice is focused on patents and trade secrets and IP-related contract disputes. Björn mainly works contentious matters, representing clients both before the Unified Patent Court, the Swedish IP courts and in arbitration, but he also provides advice in non-contentious matters.

Among other matters in recent years, Björn has defended a client in the Fintech sector in litigation and arbitration against allegations of trade secrets misappropriation and patent infringement, with a value in dispute in the billions (SEK). He is defending a client in the technology sector in a dispute before the Swedish courts involving a request for pan-European relief and represented the same client before the Court of Justice of the European Union in a case on jurisdiction for pan-European patent infringement proceedings.

Björn has been a partner of Westerberg & Partners since the firm was founded in 2019. Before that he was a member of IP and dispute resolution teams at Lindahl.

Björn is a member of EPLAW and other IP-related organisations.
