Niclas Hellermann advises national and international companies as well as governments on a wide range of environmental law and regulatory questions. His work focusses on approval procedures for major energy, industrial and infrastructure projects, representing clients in and outside court in cases of liability for environmental damage or in crisis situations such as operational incidents as well as on advising on the specific questions that are faced by industries in transition. He is one of the leading lawyers in climate law and climate litigation.

Education

Niclas studied at the universities of Heidelberg and Geneva and at Nottingham Law School. He completed his legal training in Heidelberg, Berlin and Miami. He is one of the founding partners of POSSER SPIETH WOLFERS & PARTNERS. Before he had worked as a lawyer and principal associate in the Environment, Planning and Regulatory Group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
