Career

Eduardo concentrates his practice in general business law, especially in banking and project finance matters, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, insurance law and foreign investments.

Eduardo assists clients in the areas of infrastructure, technology, tourism, energy, mining, among others in matters of banking and project financing, mergers and acquisitions, insurance, and foreign investment. He represents national and international clients in matters of litigation and dispute resolution, especially focused on civil and commercial law.

Throughout his career he has published various articles, highlighting the “Phenomenon of “Uberization ”of the Economy: Impact on the Provision of Services in the Dominican Republic”. Similarly, Eduardo is admitted as a member of the New York Bar Association.

Among his most representative matters, Eduardo has assisted JetBlue Corporate Airways in the opening of new routes, registering new aircrafts and all regulatory and civil matters. Moreover, Eduardo has recently assisted Embraer against Criminal procedures. Additionally, Eduardo has participated in the placement of bonds from the Dominican Government in international markets of over US$6 billion dollars, as well as the first liability management performed in international markets by the Dominican Government. He has also assisted various international companies like Barrick Gold Corporation, the largest foreign investment in the country, with its expansion of the Pueblo Viejo mine in the country.

Education

Eduardo received his Bachelor of Laws, cum laude, from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in 2018. He obtained his L.LM. degree from Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law in 2020. He has participated in courses and seminars on issues related to corporate law, arbitration, civil and commercial law, tech law, and legal English, and US Law among other subjects such as accounting and finance in Georgetown University and New York University.
