Position

Laxmi is head of Boyes Turner’s leading Education team and an established expert in special educational needs (SEN). She runs appeals to the SEND Tribunal and provides representation. She has particular expertise in complex cases across education, health and social care, many requiring tri-partite funding and residential and split placements, and/or ‘education otherwise than at school/college – EOTAS/C’.

Career

Before her legal career Laxmi worked in a large London school where she was an associate school Governor for over five years. During this time, Laxmi studied part-time and qualified with a First Class Honours degree in Law (LLB Hons). She then completed the LPC, again part-time. Whilst training, Laxmi volunteered as an education law advisor for the National Autistic Society.

Laxmi qualified in a leading SEND firm in London before joining Boyes Turner to start up their Education practice, becoming partner in 2017.

Laxmi has over 16 years’ experience giving SEND legal advice.

Law Society and a committee member & Director and Treasurer of the Education Law Association.
