Paul Turner is a direct access immigration barrister specialising in Immigration / Nationality Law.

Paul can and often is instructed directly by members of the public as he is licensed by the Bar Council under its Bar Direct / Public Access scheme.

Paul was called to the bar in 1998 and is a member of Lincoln’s Inn.

He studied at Sussex University where he had a particular interest in the development of the Nationality and Immigration law in the UK and graduated in 1997 with an upper second honours degree.

Following completion of the Bar Vocational Course in 1998 he commenced working for the Treasury Solicitor’s Department Immigration Judicial Review Team in 1999 and has consistently practised in the field of immigration ever since. He has obtained experience in criminal and family law, in particular with regard to public law and children but now has a specialised and successful immigration practice.

Paul was appointed by the Attorney General to the Operation Enhance and Operation Present panels of barristers both advising the Home Office and presenting immigration appeals in 2000.

In 2002 he decided to work for Applicants / Claimants and since then has used his experience gained in representing individuals in all aspects of immigration and asylum.

Paul remains committed to assisting Applicants/ Claimants in all aspects of Immigration and Nationality Law and prides himself on providing first class legal advice along with excellent client care as a direct access immigration barrister.
