Career
Aleksandra Jaćimović is an Attorney at Law at Joint Zunic Law Firm Novi Sad. She is a member of the Bar Association of Vojvodina and joined the team in 2017.
Her specialization is focused on work in the fields of Corporate Law and Labor & Employment. With respect to Corporate Law, Aleksandra has extensive experience with company formation by natural or legal persons with different levels of ownership structure complexity, no matter whether the founder is physically present in Serbia or not. She gained experience through advising foreign clients interested in cooperation with the Free trade zones in Serbia. She also advises clients regarding the business structure of companies, aspects of taxes, state subsidies, dissolution, and bankruptcy, as well as immigration and residence of foreigners.
When it comes to Immigration Law and Rights of Foreigners, Aleksandra’s expertise includes offering legal services to foreigners concerning obtaining residence and work permits in Serbia, obtaining and release of Serbian citizenship, as well as secondment of foreigners to Serbia, among which are the members of the highest management of regional and international companies.
Aleksandra is also continuously working on numerous complex litigation and out-of-court proceedings, where she represents legal and natural persons, both foreign and domestic. With the goal of the most efficient collection of receivables, enforcement proceeding is also a field of her interest.
She has completed her graduate and master studies at the Faculty of Law, the University of Novi Sad, during which she specialized in the field of Corporate Law, with her master thesis on the topic: “Immunity from Fines in Cartel Cases – Leniency Program”.
During her studies, Aleksandra participated in Willem C. Vis Moot Court Competition as a Faculty team member in Vienna, as well as Regional Moot Court Competition in Human Rights. She advanced her expertise in alternative dispute resolution techniques while participating at ELSA Vienna Summer Law School on Dispute Resolution. Furthermore, she was a participant at Danube Spring School Novi Sad, Serbia, and Danube Summer School Ulm, Germany focusing on legal issues within the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. She also received the Zoran Djindjic Foundation award within the program “Learn and Travel – Support to Young Experts”.
Aleksandra is fluent in English and has intermediate knowledge of German.
