Alejandro's practice encompasses corporate law, foreign investment, infrastructure, energy, mergers and acquisitions, finance, transactions, commercial arbitration and implementation of corporate governance in family businesses.
Alejandro has provided advice for infrastructure and energy projects with the combined value for over $4 billion USD in locations such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Argentina, Cuba, Honduras and Malaysia; the projects include port terminals, regasification plants, roads, railways, high speed trains, dams, among others.
Alejandro is a professor and researcher in Alternative Dispute Resolution at Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara. He is a professor of Legal Framework of Business at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). Former member of the Council of Young Entrepreneurs of the National Chamber of Commerce in Guadalajara. Former President of the U.S.-Mexico Bar Association, UP Guadalajara chapter. Mexican delegate to the Global Sales Law Project of the University of Basel, Switzerland. Translator for the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNICTRAL) on the subject of national and international decisions on international sales transactions. Guest professor at the University of San Diego for the Thorsnes International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition as Foreign Arbitrator.

Education
Alejandro Ripoll obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Law and his Master´s degree in Business and Corporate Law at the Universidad Panamericana. He majored in Obligations, Contracts and Corporations at the Universidad Panamericana, as well as in Energy Law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho.
Alejandro attended Harvard Law School’s Negotiation Workshop, and studied the American Legal System for Foreign Lawyers at Fordham University, New York. He began his professional career at Baker & McKenzie and is currently a partner at Ramos, Ripoll & Schuster, where he is a Leader of the Corporate & Business Team. Active member of the Mexican Bar Association, for which he coordinates the Commission of Commercial Arbitration in the Jalisco Chapter. ABC arbitrator accredited by the Center for Mediation and Arbitration of the National Chamber of Commerce.
