Position

Meryem Lahlou is Mid-level associate at Afrique Advisors.

She regularly assists local and international companies in all their operations of creation, mergers and acquisitions, creation of joint-ventures, assets acquisitions, takeover or transfer of control. She also advises clients on their various tax, contractual, commercial and intellectual property issues. In particular, she has developed a know-how in pre-litigation in order to help clients find amicable solutions to their disputes by assisting them in the negotiations to be conducted and the strategies to be adopted in preparation for possible future litigation.

Meryem Lahlou’s professional background has allowed her to develop a multidisciplinary practice, in particular, in private equity transactions, advising institutional and private investors in the context of their equity participations in private equity funds.

Career

Meryem Lahlou has acquired significant experience in business law through her legal internships in well-known French and Moroccan law firms.

She joined Afrique Advisors as an intern in October 2018, before being promoted to associate in April 2019. In less than two years, Meryem has been promoted from junior associate to mid-level associate.
