Vasil Barbov is a partner and head of the firm’s Sofia office and the real estate and tax departments. His areas of practice include real estate, construction, corporate law, tax law, dispute resolution, and administrative law. 

Fluent in Bulgarian and English and conversational in German, Vasil works with construction contractors, property management companies, real estate investors, developers, luxury hotel complexes, and high-net-worth individuals. 

Skilled in spatial planning law, he advises on land status, valuation and taxation, urban planning, and drafts and negotiates agreements in relation to real estate developments and construction in Bulgaria. 

He also represents real estate clients in commercial transactions, debt recovery and ownership disputes, tax disputes, employment law, and administrative law matters such as obtaining planning permission. 

Vasil has considerable experience in administrative law and procedure, advising all types of businesses on the processes required to obtain government permissions. He also assists clients with appeals and challenges to government agency decisions. 

Vasil is a member of the Bulgarian Society of Construction Law.
