Career

Luis Vinatea is Co- head of the Labour Litigation area in the firm and is the firm´s Managing Partner.   

Luis Vinatea refounded Vinatea & Toyama together with Jorge Toyama in August 2019, after leaving Miranda & Amado Abogados where he was a partner and co-led the labour area for over 16 years.    

Luis has combined his consulting work with litigation strategy and policy design. As a skilled litigator he handles high-profile cases and formulates sophisticated defense strategies.    

In his role as a renowned litigator, Luis Vinatea is responsible for the firm's most significant cases. These include high-impact cases relevant to the country and public opinion, such as the actions against the ruling that prohibits outsourcing.   

Regarding his public work, Luis Vinatea currently chairs the Labour Committee of Confiep, Perú's largest business association, and has been a member of the Ministry of Labour and Employment Promotion's Advisory Committee. His expertise in labour matters extends to an advisory role with the International Labour Organization (ILO), representing the Peruvian Employers' Organization at annual ILO conferences.
