Ajay Jain, IRS ( Customs & Indirect Tax) joined TLC Legal in June 2023. He is a 1985 batch officer and superannuated as Member of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs in 2021. He was conferred with Presidential Award for his specially Distinguished Record of Service in the year 2011.

During his long career, he has worked in various Customs and Central Excise and Central GST formations, Central Bureau of Narcotics and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in various capacities. He has also worked in Central Board of Excise and Customs dealing with the policy issues. He was associated with the formulation of GST process documents and drafting of GST Laws from 2010 to 2017. He was also responsible for successful implementation of CGST in Gujarat.

He has rich experience in the field of Narcotics, Customs offences and trade based money laundering, anti smuggling field , intelligence collection and investigation of indirect taxes such as Central Excise, Service tax and GST.
