Career

Heinrich Georg Pannen is an attorney at law and an equity partner at BDPE in Dusseldorf, a service boutique specializing in representation in litigation and prosecution proceedings in the field of intellectual property. His focus is supervising national and international intellectual property portfolios, in particular in the field of trademarks and designs. He has many years of experience in conducting application procedures, opposition procedures and nullity and appeal proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office (EPO), the Office of the European Union for Intellectual Property (EUIPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the German Federal Patent Court.

He specializes in negotiating trademark and design law agreements and represents clients in infringement cases before the courts of law throughout Germany. Furthermore, his work also includes patent, competition and copyright law. Thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the industry, he advises not only companies in the retail and energy sectors but also companies in the advertising industry, in particular in the implementations of name creation processes. His activities in this area also include ensuring legally compliant advertising measures and drafting agency-specific contracts.

Heinrich Pannen has been an equity partner at the patent attorneys and attorneys at law firm BDPE since 2019. Until the end of 2018, he was managing partner at the law firm Braun-Dullaeus Pannen. In recent years, he has continuously deepened his specialization in intellectual property rights. Since his admission to the bar in 1994, he has always worked in correspondingly specialized law firms. He studied at the University of Cologne and University of Montpellier.
